Cash and Credit Cards:

Cash to tip people on your shore excursions off the ship

Cash for your favorite people on your final day on board ($20 to $100 is typical). Most people give their 2 main dining room waiters an extra tip at the last dinner - envelopes will be provided

Also it’s good to leave an extra tip for your room steward! ($20 to $100 is typical)

Remember your tips are already charged to your account, so this is EXTRA

Credit cards for shopping in ports.

You might want to call your banks and tell them you where you are going or your cards could get suspended the first time you use one.

Other than the final day tips, this is a cashless ship. Everything will be charged to your credit card on file, so you only need your credit cards for the non-cruise things, like airport or cruise terminal purchases, or if you want to use a card during shore excursions for shopping and dining.

Soda/Water Notes:

You are allowed to bring 12 cans/bottles of soda or water that are 17oz or smaller but they must be in your carry-on bag, not in checked bags so consider the fact that you have to carry them around all day until you can get into your stateroom (use a wheeled carryon!)

Here are the current drink prices per drink on board:

https://www.royalcaribbeanblog.com/royal-caribbean-drink-prices

They do provide a small glass per person in your bathroom and the sink water is drinkable

You will have a small fridge so consider bringing at least one refillable water bottle each

Your steward will throw away any used water bottles, so refill them immediately and tuck them in your fridge

Seasickness Notes:

THE BEST OPTION IS THE SCOPOLAMINE PATCHES! By prescription only though.

The ship has seasickness pills available 24/7 at the customer service desk

Consider bringing your own Dramamine: the daytime one AND the nighttime one

You can bring the acupressure bands too: https://amzn.to/2YjLniS

Or the lozenges: https://amzn.to/3uPB9mz

Also consider getting a jar of candied ginger to eat when seasick.
